Trip to Kiev, Ukraine
April 2004 I made a trip to Kiev, Ukraine. For past 2 years I had been communicating with a lady in Starobelsk, Ukraine. I had been planning to make a trip and meet her in Kiev. Unfortunately as I found out later I was being exploited probably by the agency Supra-Angels. I have Igor to thank for at least helping me to see some of the errors that I made. Even though I was not able to meet this lady, I decided to go on my trip, which I had been planning for 2 years. Fortunately I met Igor on the Internet at ukrainetravelmate.com He was very helpful and assisted me in everything I needed. I had read some of the testimonials on his web site. Still I was not totally sure what to think, knowing that I had already been exploited once, could it happen again? I e-mailed him and made arrangement to meet him at the Borispol Airport. When I arrived at the Airport he was there to greet me and he had already made arrangement for an apartment for us to stay in Kiev. His rates are very reasonable, considering the alternatives, having to find transportation from the airport and also having to find a place to stay, interpreting and just plain getting around the city. It was an interesting and exciting week. He was my voice (as I speak no Russian) and helped me get around in the city (I would have been lost without him). I had a wonderful time, and I plan on returning. I know that I will use his services in the future if needed. I would recommend Igor to anyone who is planning a trip to Ukraine and needs help with getting around and translation. He is very knowledgeable and patient person.
