Attention: according to the new rules, Ukraine visas are no longer required for citizens of the following countries: USA, Canada, Austria, Belgium, Cyprus, Czech Republic, Denmark, Estonia, Finland, France, Germany, Greece, Hungary, Ireland, Italy, Japan, Latvia, Lithuania, Luxembourg, Malta, Poland, Portugal, Andorra, Liechtenstein, Monaco, Iceland, Slovakia, Slovenia, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland, Netherlands, United Kingdom. Citizens of these countries do not need visas to enter Ukraine or transit through its territory if they stay less than 90 days in Ukraine. Ukraine Visas are still required for citizens who are going to stay in Ukraine for longer than 90 days, or who enter Ukraine with the purpose of study, permanent residency or employment.
Applying for the Ukraine visa has never been easier.
If you are a citizen of the United States, Canada, or a country of the European Union, but still need the visa for Ukraine, then obtaining the Ukrainian visa is very simple. Do not go with any companies or individuals who take money for arranging the Ukraine visa for you, because you will have to follow the similar procedure as if you do it yourself, but pay significantly more.
There are several types of Ukraine visa: Private, Business, Tourist, Taransit visa and some others. With Private visa you don't need any formal invitation letter. However in the application form, it is necessary to mention the name and address of a private person who invites you and where you are going to stay while you are in Ukraine. You can put there any valid Ukrainian address, or if you decide to go with my travelmate service, I will supply you with my Ukrainian address.
Single-entry and multiple-entry visas are available for time periods up to five years. Below there are addresses of Ukrainian Embassies and Consulates in the United States and Canada. Please contact the Embassy or the Consulate General serving your area of residence for more information. Usually the visa requirements and procedure of applying for the Ukraine visa are described in details on their websites:
